Our randomness beacons.

Harness the power of multiple, independent, high entropy sources to create a bias-resistant, unpredictable random number generator.

Why is randomness important?

Important societal processes

Many extremely important societal processes rely on randomness such as: jury selection, election event audits, tax audits, controlled trials, and lotteries.

Core technologies

Many of the core technologies that power our entire global computing infrastructure rely on randomness!

Gossip protocols

Randomly pick peers to disseminate information - randomness shields against eclipse attacks.

Cryptographic & encryption schemes

Nonces for encryption, Schnorr signatures, field parameters, ZKPs - randomness provides security guarantees.

Network routing

Tor (path selection) - randomness enables route anonymisation.

Consensus protocols

Omniledger (sharding), consensus protocols - randomness supports fair and secure leader election.

Members of the League

Welcome to the League of Entropy, where a consortium of public-minded organizations unites to forge a truly random beacon.

Scalable randomness

Unlike other randomness beacons, ours is the pioneering effort of multiple, unrelated entities working together in harmony, but at 'arms length' from an information security point-of-view.

Distributed trust

Randomness beacons have traditionally been the domain of individual organizations leaving them vulnerable to manipulation by a single adversary.

Strength in unity

However, by bringing together our founding members including Cloudflare, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Kudelski Security, Protocol Labs, and the University of Chile, we've engineered the first unbiased beacon with cryptographic verification—an industry milestone.

Our partners

Discover the League of Entropy, a coalition dedicated to delivering publicly verifiable decentralized randomness. Many leading computing organizations are already collaborating with us on this important project.

Mainnet members

Mainnet members are actively operating a mainnet node for the League of Entropy, helping produce verifiable public randomness.

Testnet members

Testnet members are prospective mainnet members who are showcasing their operational excellence in order to graduate to Mainnet.
